Beiju is about Brazilian rhythms, especially those of the North East, with an Afro and London twist. Coming from the vibrant multicultural tropical underground music scene in London, it features the legendary singer Adma Newport from Salvador da Bahia, with her unique blend of Afro-Brazilian musical heritage and jazz/improvisation.

Beiju is supported and backed by the amazing trio of Matheus Nova (bass – Ed Motta, Antonio Forcione band, Saravah Soul), Marius Rodrigues (drums – Monica Vasconcelos, Renzo Murrone) and Phil Dawson (guitar – Tony Allen, Hugh Masekela, Mulatu Astatke, Dele Sosimi, Afrospot, Soothsayers, Ed Motta, Orquestra Imperial etc) playing their own set of Afrocentric Brazilian instrumental vibes.
